  1. Kia ora Helena,

Great work with your Christmas card! It is very special and creative and I am glad you had fun making it!

Are you making more cards for your whanau? I enjoy making cards but I didn't have time this year :(

Did you find out any fun facts about Christmas cards and the history of Christmas cards while doing this activity? I learnt that Christmas cards were first given nearly 180 years ago, that's a long time! I wonder what they looked like?

I hope you and your whanau have a great Christmas and a wonderful summer. Keep up the awesome and creative mahi.

    Ngā mihi,
    Lauren

    2. Kia ora Helena,

I hope you had a wonderful Christmas! Did you do something special over the weekend with your family?

Thats interesting that Hallmark invented the folded card! They're a very big business today so the company must have a lot of interesting history.

Looking forward to seeing your next creative blog posts.

      Ngā mihi,
      Lauren

  2. Kia ora Helena! Merry Christmas to you and your whanau. I hope that you had an extra special Christmas Day!

I really appreciated the art work in your Christmas card design, but especially the reindeer. Rudolf is my favourite with his shiny red nose. Did you know there are actually nine reindeer?

Did you gift your card to anyone special? I received some beautiful cards this Christmas and I have them hanging in the entrance to my lounge room.

I also hope that you learnt a bit about the history of Christmas cards through this activity.

Keep up the fabulous work and I look forward to your reply. Nga mihi nui, Naomi (Manaiakalani Facilitator)
