Te Huarere/Weather

For today's activity we had to watch a video describing the weather in Maori, then we have to do the same in slide 4 and 5 by creating our own sentences.

  1. Kia ora Helena,

My name is Shannon and I’m from the Summer Learning Journey.

Ka pai on your Te Huarere slide show. I only recently began learning te reo too, so I found your blog post very helpful for understanding how to talk about the weather!

I am on holiday with my family so using your slideset I asked my mum, “He aha te tohu huarere?” She replied, “He rangi paki.” It looks like we might be going for a swim! What have been you doing over your summer break?

Maybe you could practice saying your sentence and screen castify it to get more points?

    Ka kite anō,
    Shannon (SLJ)

  2. Thank you for taking the time to check my blog post and leaving a kind comment. Thanks to Google Translate I was able to translate the Maori words to English so I can understand. That's how I finished that task, otherwise my knowledge to Maori Language will be zero.
