Fiona here from the Summer Learning Journey. Great work creating a paper boat that floats! I think it was a really good idea to reuse an old calendar. I can imagine the paper from a calendar might be a bit thicker and glossier than ordinary school paper, which would help your boat absorb less water and stay dry.
Did you find this activity challenging or was it pretty easy for you to fold a boat that would float? What happened when you added the different objects to your boat? I wonder if it made your boat sink!
Hi Fiona, thank you for taking the to comment on my blog post. It was easy following the instructions in the video. The empty was leaning sideways so I added a couple of bottle caps (one on each side) that helped to balance the boat.
